Choose a range

Three ways to run a screw compressor

Pick by how steady your air demand is and how much energy matters. Select a range to see what it offers.

What is inside

Design choices that suit Indian plants

The features Comptech builds into its screw range, and why they matter on your floor.

Screw airend cutaway

Airend

Precision rotors turning at low RPM for efficient air flow and long life. 1:1 direct drive removes belt and gear losses.

Low maintenance, no transmission loss
Interior permanent magnet motor

IPM motor, VSDx

Efficiency up to 94.5 percent, no bearings on the motor side, no gears or belts. Comptech reports about 20 percent lower specific energy than its earlier VSD models.

Variable speed models
Two stage compression cutaway

Two stage compression

A lower compression ratio per stage with inter-stage cooling reduces leakage and energy use.

CTS II series
Compressor control panel

Cold-zone panel and PLC

Starter and electricals sit in the cold air stream. The PLC shows pressure, temperature and current, and runs fan control without thermostats.

Fewer electrical faults
Enclosed screw compressor

Big coolers

Oversized air and oil coolers sized for hot climates raise durability and keep the machine within temperature on peak summer days.

Better cooling, longer life
2-stage

Oil separation

Oil is thrown out by centrifugal force first, then caught by the separator element, so very little oil leaves with the air.

Lowest oil carryover
Dual filter

Dusty-air intake

A large two-stage suction filter with pre-filters keeps dust out of the compressor.

Lowest dust intake
Seamless

Piping

Seamless, long-life pipework and quality connections remove a common source of oil leaks.

No oil leakage

Configurations

Floor-mounted, or ready on a tank with a dryer

The same compressor can arrive as a complete package.

CTSD-100 floor-mounted

Floor-mounted

The standard layout for plant rooms, with receiver and dryer plumbed separately for best flexibility.

Compressor on tank with dryer

Tank-mounted with dryer

Compressor, air receiver and refrigerated dryer on one base. Compact and quick to install for smaller duties.

CTS II two stage in glass enclosure

Two stage cabinet

The CTS II range in its enclosed cabinet, built for continuous duty.

What does your compressed air cost to run?

Enter your compressor's size and hours. Then test what a saving of a few percent is worth each year.

Energy cost and saving

Use the motor rating and your typical load. The saving figure is yours to set; Comptech states up to 15 percent for two stage over single stage.

Energy used per year

Saving at your figure

Approximate. Uses motor rating × load as input power, which ignores motor losses. Over its life, electricity is usually the largest cost of a compressor.

Sizing

What we need to size your compressor

A few numbers let our engineer propose the right machine, and flag when two units make more sense.

Air demandFlow at the point of use, plus a growth allowance.
Working pressureThe pressure your equipment needs, plus line losses.
Demand patternSteady or fluctuating, shifts per day, peak events.
Air qualityISO 8573-1 classes your process requires.
Site conditionsAmbient temperature, dust, ventilation, space.
Power supplyVoltage and available capacity.

After the sale

Installed, commissioned and serviced by VIMCO

One team from the first site visit to the annual service.

Installation and commissioning

Plant room layout, piping and electrical hook-up, then commissioning and handover. Installation and maintenance guides are available for the range.

Preventive service

Planned maintenance with genuine filters, separators and CompFluid lubricants, on an annual contract if you prefer.

Spares and repair

Airend, motor, cooler and controller repair and spares, handled locally.
